Colorado State has significantly increased its state EV tax credit, which benefits area drivers in the market for an EV car or SUV. What originally was a $2,000 tax credit for cars has increased to $3,850. This credit will apply to Kia electric cars for sale in Fort Collins, Colorado, making them an even more cost-effective option.

How Can I Take Advantage of the Colorado EV Tax Credit?

Taxpayers only need to meet a few requirements to qualify for the $3,850 tax credit. For the vehicle to qualify, it needs to have a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) below $80,000. It’s important to note that this tax credit is from the state. Accordingly, only people who pay taxes in the state of Colorado will be able to apply for this $3,850 credit.

New Kia owners have another way to save money with the Electrify America Kia Charge Pass Program. New electric car owners can download an app to use the program for complimentary charging. This program allows drivers to use ultra-fast charging stations at 3,000 locations across the USA.

This program is available for new EV6 and Niro EV owners. The EV6 comes with complimentary 1,000 kilowatt hours of charging over a period of up to three years. This translates to approximately 3,000 to 3,500 miles of free driving. The Niro EV comes with 500 kilowatt hours of charging, amounting to approximately 1,950 miles of free driving.

Electric and Hybrid Options From Kia

Fortunately, Kia has some great options for drivers who want a new electric car, especially in the EV6 and Niro EV. The EV6 offers 310 miles of driving range on a charge, a 12.3-inch driver display, and a sporty design.
